Samsung Galaxy S, review: Features and specification
By vatsh on July 25, 2010, 5:31 pmThe Samsung Galaxy S was actually launched for the Korean firms in the smartphone market, to beat the most famous and the favorite iPhones. The Samsung has got reasons to think so because the phone is packed up with top end technologies. Like the phone has SuperAMOLED Display, operating system is Android 2.1 Éclair, has 1GHz CPU Smart Alarm processor and has unique feature which is TV Remote Controller is also in it.
Looks of the Galaxy S
The structure of the phone looks slightly bigger than the iPhone; the difference is just in mm. It has got much larger screen, provided the frame is very different and as curved surface is given, the phone becomes comfortable and easier to use. The phone is very light. Altogether, the phone is very attractive, and the software features are also remarkable.
Software Features:
The phone uses Android operating system called Android 2.1 eclair. In this phone Samsung has shown some of its creativity by offering up its own skins for the search engine in its mobile OS. The Skin is named as TouchWiz 3.0. These skins are just the evolution of the Samsung experiment on its other phone, which we know some were horrible.
Rest features like social networking interface, Email and the rest high definition video capability are up to the mark. GPRS and Edge connectivity along with 3G connectivity are provided.
Hardware Features:
It comes in black and gray colors; camera is 5.0 Megapixels and gives resolution of 2592*1944 pixel. The Inbuilt memory is 8 GB and can be extended using microSD/TransFlash as memory slots are provided. It comes with a 3.5mm Headphone jack.
Verdict:
So, we can say the phone is very nice and the price is Rs. 28,000. So, using the phone will give a new environment to leave and hence we can say the phone is really a competitor to the iPhones.
